The delightful charms of the North East coast are to be found in abundance in the seaside town of Whitley Bay. It is here that you will find the delightful two star Lighthouse Guest House. Famous as a holiday resort, it has miles of golden sandy beaches, great nightlife, an ice rink, and the Spanish City amusement arcade, once the subject of the Dire Straits song Tunnel of Love. There are also the fantastic new Waves leisure centre and swimming pool, as well as the amazing Bluereef aquarium.
All these attractions, plus visits to Tyneside, Northumberland, Newcastle, Durham and Scotland are all within easy reach of the Lighthouse Guest House. The centre of Whitley Bay is an easy stroll away, and has plenty of entertainment for all the family. Newcastle and Gateshead Metro Centre are just a few minutes away!
You can choose from five spacious and charmingly appointed rooms for your stay at the Lighthouse: There are two twins, two family rooms and a double room. Each one has a complimentary selection of hot beverages, a TV with Freeview, and hairdryers are available on request. Naturally a superb full English or Continental breakfast is included in your stay. Stag and hen parties and contractors are most welcome, and long stays are available upon request.
You can even request a packed lunch for those trips around the stunning countryside, towns, cities and coastline. Enjoy your breakfast on the sunny patio, where guests may smoke if they wish.
There is ample free parking for guests outside the Lighthouse, and the guesthouse is very much pet friendly.
